Port Royal is the most exclusive address in Naples, a waterfront enclave at the southern tip of the city where deepwater canals give many homes direct access to the Gulf by boat. It is a short distance from the shops and restaurants of Third Street South.
Homes here trade at the very top of the market, and buying well takes someone who knows the street by street differences. If Port Royal is on your list, reach out and I will walk you through what is available and what it should cost.
Port Royal was built by John Glen Sample, a retired Chicago advertising executive who assembled the land from 1938 to 1950 and dredged the finger peninsulas in the early 1950s, developed lots and first homes from the early 1950s, with continual teardown and rebuild activity since the late 1990s, approximately 500 to 640 estate properties, counts vary by source.
Homes here are single family estate homes.
Amenities include Port Royal Club, a private beachfront dining and social club open since 1960, deep water canals and bays with direct access to Gordon Pass and the Gulf, and 24 hour security cameras and guard patrols.
The community sits in southern tip of Naples along Gordon Drive, between the Gulf beach and the deep water bays off Naples Bay. Nearby you will find downtown Old Naples shopping and dining, Gordon Pass, Gulf of Mexico beaches.
